SERVICES

Our Services

In addition to supporting adult literacy services, we offer a range of services that support community planning, workforce development, and inclusive communication. We work with partners across Peel Region, Halton Region, and Dufferin County to build stronger systems and support lifelong learning for everyone.

Service Planning and Coordination

We help bring together local service providers, educators, employment agencies, and other stakeholders to strengthen collaboration, reduce duplication, and ensure adult learners have access to the right programs at the right time. Our coordination efforts support:

  • Regional Literacy Services Planning
  • Cross-sector engagement
  • Shared resources and joint initiatives

Partnership Development

We build and maintain partnerships that increase the impact of adult learning across the community. Whether you're an employment agency, school board, training provider, or nonprofit, we can work together to align services, co-host events, or develop innovative learning solutions.

Organizational Needs Assessments for Employers

We help employers identify skill gaps in the workplace and recommend tailored training solutions to upskill employees and improve performance. Our assessments focus on essential skills like:

  • Workplace communication
  • Numeracy and document use
  • Digital skills
  • Task accuracy and productivity

These assessments lead to practical, goal-oriented training plans that benefit both employers and employees.

Clear Writing Services

We offer Clear Writing and design services to help organizations create materials that are easy to read, understand, and act on.

This includes:

  • Plain language editing for forms, brochures, and websites
  • Clear design for accessibility and readability
  • Staff training in plain language principles

Clear communication builds trust and increases access — especially for clients with lower literacy levels or diverse language backgrounds.

Literacy Awareness & Sensitivity Training

Our training sessions help organizations and frontline staff better understand literacy barriers and how to support adults with varying literacy and learning needs. Participants learn how to:

  • Recognize signs of literacy challenges
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully
  • Create welcoming, inclusive service environments

This training is ideal for customer-facing teams, social service staff, and anyone committed to improving equity in service delivery.
